Islamabad: Federal Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry on Wednesday (November 03) said that Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan will announce the ‘biggest relief package for the people of Pakistan’ today, news sources reported. He said that the package is focused on providing relief to the people amid inflation and rising commodity prices.

As per the details, the minister said in a Twitter statement that the premier has decided to provide a relief for the people by offering subsidies on major consumer goods. To this effect, PM Khan will address the nation today and announce the milestone relief package.

A day earlier on Tuesday (November 02), the minister announced that the PM will announce a massive relief initiative for 53% of the population as part of the Ehsaas poverty reduction initiative. In this context, the government passed the Ehsaas Programme Ordinance 2021 on Tuesday. In addition, the information minister stated that the premier will update the people on the country’s shifting economic conditions.
