The project was purportedly approved by the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) at a meeting held in Islamabad. The World Bank will provide USD 150 million to the initiative’s cadastral mapping and land digitisation of the province’s cities. To carry out the project, the PLRA will constitute an implementation unit under the supervision of the Board of Revenue (BoR).
Moreover, the plan asks for the PLRA to create a new land management system with greater security that would be utilised by other government agencies for town planning and city development initiatives.
