Reportedly, the decision was made to avoid fraudulent practices and inaccuracies in records pertaining to land transfers, mutations, inheritance, and mortgages. It is also worth noting that the Capital Development Authority (CDA)-Islamabad and NADRA have also signed a strategic partnership contract to validate land transactions to curb fraud and make the department more transparent. In this context, the NADRA would set up dedicated portals for CDA to verify land-related issues and confirm applicants’ IDs.
