Lahore: The Senior Member Board of Revenue (SMBR) of Punjab has approved the procurement of land for the LDA City Jinnah Sector and the expansion of Chenab Road, which connects LDA City to Ring Road, news sources reported on June 20.

Reportedly, the government has set aside PKR 1.5975 billion for land purchase in Jinnah Sector, while PKR 670 million has been set up for the Chenab Road expansion project. Moreover, the LDA has already invoked Section 5 for land acquisition in Mousa Thay Panju and has completed the project’s land survey as well. As per the survey report, LDA will acquire 388 kanals and 16 marlas of land for the Chenab Road project.

Once completed, the road project will be one of the structurally planned highways connecting the Kacha Interchange to LDA City. It was said that following the road’s completion, the community would have direct access to the Lahore Ring Road. It is worth noting that the LDA City Jinnah Sector is one of the major sectors of the project.
