Gujrat: The Punjab Land Record Authority (PLRA) generated a ‘record’ PKR 17 billion through its 152 Arazi Record Centers (ARCs) across the province during fiscal year 2018-19, a news source reported.

The revenue has been generated through fee charged for more than five mutations and issuance of fard-e-malkiat (record of rights of ownership) at the ARCs. This is PKR 3 billion than the revenue generated the previous fiscal.
According to a PLRA spokesman, only in June 2019, a sum of PKR 1 billion had been generated through the ARCs under various heads of tax collection for the federal, provincial as well as the local governments. He called it the proof of the trust shown by the masses in the authority.

He said that encouraged by the authority has planned to establish another 115 fard issuance centres at Qanoongoi level, and another 20 mobile service units across the province.
