Lahore: The Punjab Land Record Authority (PLRA) has successfully completed training sessions on the e-registration of property records for officials (including deed writers), according to news published on May 17.

The training aims to secure the smooth transfer and preservation of public properties while improving the transparency and efficiency of the process. According to PLRA Director General Saira Omer, the sessions on the e-registration of property records were held in Lahore, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Rawalpindi, Sahiwal, Multan, Sargodha, and Bahawalpur. The final training sessions are scheduled for Dera Ghazi Khan and Faisalabad divisions next week.

Moreover, it was highlighted that e-registration is implemented in 90% of the provincial districts and the manual registration of property transactions has been replaced by strict adherence to specified procedures.
As per the sources, the automated e-registration process facilitates citizens by enabling them to enter their registration details on a computer either personally or by using a deed writer. They can then submit these particulars online to the sub-registrar.
