Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Housing Dr. Amjad Ali has directed the departments concerned to increase the number of low-cost plot units in the Jalozai Housing Scheme – a project being developed under the government’s Naya Pakistan Housing Programme (NPHP) initiative – according to a news source. In addition, he also issued orders for the project to feature affordable residential units for government employees up to grade 10.

The minister made these announcements while presiding over a recent meeting of the Provincial Housing Authority. During the session, he also received a briefing on the various currently under development low-cost housing projects in the province; and was informed that the development work in Kohat’s Jerma Housing Scheme had been completed by 50% (with the project featuring various facilities including a community centre and a mosque).
Addressing the meeting’s participants, he said that the provision of affordable housing units would be ensured for the people of KP under Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan’s administrative vision. The minister further made announcement to plant 10,000 saplings in the Jalozai Housing Scheme under the government’s ongoing plantation drive.
