Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has called a meeting of its committee on February 6, in order to allot plots to CDA employees – a news source reported.
Akbar Malik, director general of the CDA administration, will preside over the meeting; scheduled to begin at 11am on the date mentioned.

The meeting will take a decision with regard to the future of plots, after discussing its nine-point agenda. Other issues pertaining to the plot charges submitted by employees, the list of widows of CDA employees included in the PM’s aid programme, and the list of deserving CDA employees will also be discussed.
A set of recommendations will later be drafted based on the minutes of the meeting.

Earlier, the authority had chosen to reconstitute the committee to ensure merit-based allotments of plots.
It is pertinent to mention here that the CDA scheme in question had remained stayed for eight years. In response, several CDA officials had taken the matter to court.
