Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) and the Islamabad Capital Administration (ICT) in collaboration with the Environment Wing of Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI) launched a tree plantation campaign in Sector E-10 of the capital city, a news source reported.

Officials of all the three organisations participated in this initiative. This activity forms part of the ‘Clean and Green Pakistan’ project, under which 150 million saplings will be planted countrywide this year.
CDA is funding this project. It will also assist MCI with regard to establishing points from where citizens can buy saplings as well as get information about this initiative.

The Ministry of Climate Change will also utilise modern and sophisticated drone technology for its tree plantation campaign. The project will be expanded to the areas with difficult terrain.
