Lahore: The Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) Lahore has picked four sites in the city to complete its target of planting 1 million saplings in the city, according to news published on May 18.

PHA Director General Muhammad Tahir has revealed that 100,000 saplings of the total 1 million plants will be planted alongside Lahore Ring Road. Moreover, 70,000 saplings will be planted alongside the airport and its peripheries.

DG Tahir said that the authority has decided to shift the watering system to solar power. He assured that in case of minimal rains, PHA will arrange for the plants to be watered via alternative sources.
The authority iterated its commitment to achieving the provincial government’s target of planting a million plants in Lahore during the current financial year.
