Karachi: Karachi Mayor Wasim Akhtar, accompanied by various dignitaries, took part in a plantation drive at Hill Park, according to a news story. At the occasion, Akhtar highlighted that a significant amount has been allocated in the current budget for improving Hill Park and restoring the main lake and waterfall along with thousands of trees being planted in and around the park.
The event was attended by influential people such as Sindh Caretaker Minister for Environment and Information Jameel Yousuf, and Begum Nilofer Fazalpur who also took part in tree plantation at the park. Akhtar also said that more parks in Karachi would be renovated so that better recreational facilities can be provided to the citizens of Karachi.
