Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government is planning to convert 8,000 schools, 187 Basic Health Units (BHUs) and 4,404 mosques in the province to solar energy in collaboration with the Asian Bank, a news source quoted CM’s Advisor on Energy Hamayatullah Khan in a conference.

He said that a lot of matters relating to energy in the province are linked with the federal government. He said all provinces should have representation in the utility companies.
He said solid steps are being taken for the growth of energy sector in the province under the directions of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mehmood Khan. He further said that active steps are being taken to work on the renewable energy policy 2019.
