Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister (CM) Mehmood Khan has said that planning to form a permanent policy for the promotion of the tourism sector, as per the vision of Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan, has started, reported a news source.

The CM shared this information during a meeting held with members of the district administration of Malakand Division. Speaking at the occasion, CM Khan said that Malakand is the most blessed division of KP in terms of climate and natural beauty. The division holds huge potential for tourism, which could generate ample income for the province to improve its economic status, he added.

He also highlighted the fact that local and international tourists are drawn to the naturally beautiful towns and areas of KP. Khan stressed that developing a policy in lieu with PM’s vision is vital for ensuring economic prosperity for the locals.

CM Khan instructed the members of the local government to pinpoint the appropriate areas for tourism. This will help the provincial government to lay the infrastructure needed for the promotion of tourism such as the provision of water, electricity and gas and the construction of road infrastructure.
