These measures will be used in addition to the installation of filtration plants. The programme will be initially launched as a pilot project, and it will be executed by Punjab Aab-e-Pak Authority.
The authority has already obtained permission from the government’s austerity committee for the procurement of vans and rickshaws. New staff will be also be hired for this purpose. These vehicles will then be used to transport water to citizens directly to their homes. The project will specifically target areas that are too far from the filtration plants.
