Lahore: The Government of Punjab has finalised its plan to generate income from Governor House in Lahore, a news source reported. Under this plan, citizens will no longer be allowed to visit the Governor House free of cost. Visitors will have to buy tickets, for which the fee per person is set at PKR 20.

In addition to charging visitors, the Punjab government has also decided to allow public gatherings and corporate events in the house, permit photoshoots, and open the facility for guided tours for locals and international tourists, and students.

Those looking to arrange their private functions at the house will be required to pay a fee ranging between PKR 500,000 to PKR 1,000,000 for two hours. In case of any extension in time, the function organiser will be charged at an additional amount of PKR 50,000 per hour. The price set for holding a bridal photoshoot at the facility will be PKR 50,000, while charges set for commercial photoshoot range between PKR 1,000,000 and PKR 5,000,000.

Punjab Governor Chaudhary Ghulam Sarwar finalised the proposal to open Governor House to the public after consultation with Prime Minister Imran Khan. He was on board with the decision to generate income from this facility.
