Multan: The Committee formed under Punjab Housing and Town-planning Agency (PHATA) Land Rules 2017 has presented its report and recommendations, a news source reported. The committee was formed to survey the commercialised area in Multan, to curb disorganised commercialisation and resolve the issue of traffic jams in the city. In light of its recommendations, it has been decided to not allow further commercialisation in commercial areas.
Speaking to the meeting of PHATA Scrutiny Committee, the Commissioner Bilal Butt said that no building or land will be allowed commercialisation unless it provides 30-feet setback and proper parking place.
Meanwhile, PHATA Director Tahir Javed Ansari while briefing the meeting said that under PHATA’s administration, a significant commercialisation has been done around the city and plans to curb disorganised commercialisation have been made.
