Gujranwala: The National Accountability Bureau has prepared plans to stop the sale and purchase of property in illegal housing societies – a news source reported.

The relevant officials have been directed to display the details of illegal housing societies on boards at the offices of the Deputy Commissioner and the GDA.
According to sources, more than 300 housing societies have been established in Gujranwala, but only a dozen have received NOCs. Now, the NAB has issued instructions to all regulators, cooperative departments, and commissioners to display the details of all illegal housing societies.

According to a circular issued recently, all housing societies will have to display the details of the approvals from regulators, the total number of plots, and the society’s full area, on a board, at the project site. Amenity plots like spaces dedicated for mosques, graveyards, playgrounds and schools will also need to be displayed.
