Lahore: The Punjab government is planning to develop Ferozepur Road under Central Business District (CBD) by constructing modern high-rise commercial projects, according to news published on April 10.

As per the details, the provincial government is considering a proposal to build high-rise commercial centres at the sites of Rescue 1122 Academy and Camp Jail. It was disclosed that the government is expected to generate billions of rupees from the said project.

During the meeting, Punjab Caretaker Chief Minister (CM) Mohsin Naqvi discussed the proposal and directed relevant authorities to prepare a comprehensive plan for the commercial building. He asked the officials to look for alternate locations for Camp Jail and Rescue 1122 Academy. The news source stated that the construction of high-rise commercial centres in the middle of the city will promote commercial activities. The provincial government has been asked to immediately plan for the CBD Cooperative project.
