Lahore: Revenue of PKR 87.8 billion has been collected under the e-stamping project of Pakistan Information Technology Board (PITB) and Board of Revenue, a news source reported. A total of 3.3 million judicial and non-judicial e-stamp papers were bought by people over the two years.
This was stated by PITB Chairman Dr. Umar Saif in a meeting. Citizens bought 3 million non-judicial e-stamps and 300,000 judicial e-stamps in this time. The e-stamping system had been launched in October 2016 in all districts of Punjab.
Revenue of PKR 32.2 billion was collected during the year 2016-17, while during the year 2017-18, PKR 48.9 billion was collected.
