Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Cantonment Board has drafted its Budget 2020-21 worth PKR 3.7 billion — with PKR 800 million of the total amount reserved for making improvements to the area’s roads and water supply infrastructure — a news source reported on September 10.

According to the details available, the budget did not introduce any new taxes. Instead, the board is now looking to construct shops and plazas as an additional source of income. Reportedly, 14 sites have been identified for the development of these commercial constructions — with the projects to be approved concurrently with the budget.
The meeting to review and pass the budget is scheduled for September 13, and will be chaired by RCB President Brigadier Aijaz Qamar Kiani. Other nominated and elected members of the board are also expected to be present on the occasion.
