Mansehra: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has approved PKR 8 billion funds for the construction of a bridge on the Indus River in the Kotkay Kundar area in Torghar district, according to news published on August 12.

MPA Laiq Mohammad Khan mentioned that the tendering of the bridge will be finalised in the coming weeks. As per the details, the bridge will be constructed by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Highway Authority (KPHA). After construction, it will decrease the travel time between Torghar and other districts.

Moreover, the MPA stated that the government has reserved PKR 8 billion for the construction of the said project under its special development package for Torghar. It was disclosed that the bridge will be beneficial for the people living on both sides of the river. The MPA said that project will bring economic development to the region.
