Islamabad: PKR 7.97 billion has been collected for Diamer-Bhasha and Mohmand Dam Funds, a news source reported. According to fresh statistics released by the State Bank of Pakistan, residents of Pakistan have contributed around PKR 7.09 billion, while overseas Pakistanis have contributed PKR 880.23 million.
Among the overseas contributors, the highest contributions have been made by US-based Pakistanis, who contributed a total of PKR 334.735 million. Pakistanis based in UK are in the second spot with a contribution of PKR 180.317 million
Among the institutions that have contributed the highest, Punjab Government employees remain at the top with a total of PKR 1.09 billion. Pakistan Army stands at the second spot with PKR 582.071 million. With a contribution of PKR 201.093, HQ CWO SPD stands at third spot. Bahria Town has contributed PKR 110.12 million and stands at the fourth spot; while Pakistan Air Force, with a contribution of PKR 100.28 million, stood at fifth.
