Lahore: The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has planned to invest PKR 60 billion in Pakistan’s construction sector and agreed to build the country’s first state-of-the-art skyscraper in Lahore ‘Mubarak Centre’, according to news published on Monday (February 21).

As per the details, Chief Minister (CM) Usman Buzdar visited the country for three days and was welcomed by UAE Minister for Culture, Youth, and Social Development Sheikh Nahyan Bin Mubarak. A spokesperson (whose name was not disclosed) informed that an agreement was signed between the Punjab government and Dhabi Group for the construction of Mubarak Centre on Ferozepur Road. The said centre will be built under the auspices of TAAVUN Pvt. Ltd.
Reportedly, the project will feature luxurious accommodations for international cricket teams. CM Buzdar believes that the Dhabi Group will use professional abilities to timely complete the mega project. He further added that new special economic zones (SEZs) were being established across the province.

According to the spokesperson, the Central Business District (CBD) project has also been launched at Walton and a facilitation centre to support foreign investors is also operational to serve the international business community.
