Multan: In order to fix the long-standing sewerage issues in the city, projects worth PKR 5 billion have been approved in Budget 2018-19, a news source quoted Multan Development Authority Chairman Rana Abdul Jabbar. The funds will be utilised by Water and Sanitation Authority (WASA) to work on changing the outdated sewerage lines and carrying out up-gradation of Disposal Station in Chungi No. 9.
The completion of these projects will help Multan deal with long-delayed sewerage problems. Jabbar shared this information while chairing a meeting held with WASA officials. He also revealed that the authority made a recovery of PKR 6 million during October, helping it set an all-time high monthly recovery record.
