Multan: The Punjab Revenue Department has released funds worth PKR 460 million for different projects launched under the Khadim-e-Punjab Development Program, reported a new source. The funds have been issued to the Multan Municipal Corporation (MMC) and the district council.
Under this program, PKR 290.25 million have been issued to the district council while funds worth over PKR 170 million have been given to MMC. The Revenue Department has given clearance to the respective union councils to initiate development work with PKR 2.5 million allocated to each of them.
Reportedly, tenders were awarded previously for development schemes under this program but the Revenue Department cancelled these tenders.
