Islamabad: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has collected more than PKR 45 billion during the first five months of the current fiscal year – a news source reported. As per the publication a total of PKR 4,510 million was collected between July and December of this year — from both residential and commercial areas of the city.

Out of the total PKR 45 billion collected, PKR 32.22 billion was in the form of income tax, PKR 12.04 billion was Sales Tax, and PKR 806 million was Federal Excise Duty.
FBR’s collection during just the month of November stood at 9.08 billion — collected from commercial and residential areas in both urban and rural areas of the city. Of this, PKR 6.4 billion was income tax, PKR 2.53 billion was sales tax, and PKR 150 million was Federal Excise Duty.
