Islamabad: The federal government has released a sum of PKR 400 million for developing water-related projects in Gwadar – a news source reported.

The centre has released the said amount under its Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP). These funds will be utilised to install water treatment and filtration plants in the port city.
For the current fiscal year, the total amount of funds government has allocated for Gwadar is PKR 1,000 million, according to details shared by the Planning Ministry.

On Monday, the centre released a sum of PKR 310.3 billion under PSDP. This amount represented 46 percent of the total budgeted allocation, which stands at PKR 675 billion.
