Islamabad: The Federal Government has managed to collect a total of PKR 35.96 billion during the first four months of the current fiscal year, recording a rise of 31% in recoveries – a news source reported.

The Regional Tax Office (RTO), Islamabad collected a total amount of PKR 25.8 billion income tax until October. The income tax collection saw a huge increase as well, since it registered a rise of about 22%, as compared to last year.

According to statistics shared by the Chief Commissioner RTO Islamabad, the office collected a total of PKR 515 million in Sales Tax, which is a rise of almost 66%. Finally, PKR 650 million was collected as Federal Excise Duty, indicating an increase of approximately 3%.
