Islamabad: The Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal has said that PKR 300 million are being granted for solving water issues in the federal capital, according to a news report. He said this while addressing a press conference. Detailing the plans, he said that water-leakage from pipes in the city will be stopped through immediate repair, tube wells will be made functional and water bowsers will be made operational.
He further said that finances are being obtained to provide water to Islamabad from Ghazi Barotha dam. On the occasion, he also said that Islamabad’s first spring festival will be held between April 6 and April 8 and that from now on the festival will be held each year.
