Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Governing Body has decided to approve PKR 3.8 billion for various projects including LDA City, reported a news quoting minutes of the meeting held on April 22. Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar chaired the board meeting.

The meeting discussed three main agendas. Out of the approved PKR 3.8 billion, PKR 1.2 billion has been allocated for carrying out development work in LDA City. PKR 12 million will be spent on various beautification projects in the city, while the meeting members also approved funds for the construction of an overhead bridge in Data Nagar.
The LDA Governing Board also took major decisions regarding the development of LDA City and its land acquisition plan. The board approved project design and development charges applicable on the plot allottees.

The Supreme Court of Pakistan has directed LDA to offer plots to all members of LDA City Phase I. LDA and LDA City project developers have expressed hopes of delivering these projects in a timely manner.
