Lahore: Punjab Development Working Party (PDWP) has approved funds worth PKR 3.2 billion for laying a sewerage line between Haji Camp and Ravi Drain, reported a news source.
The sewerage line will start from Haji Camp and pass through Lakshmi Chowk, McLeod Road, Nabha Road, Chowburji, and Sham Nagar on its way to the Ravi Drain.
The approval was granted in a PDWP meeting held the other day. PDWP Chairman Habib-ur-Rehman Gillani presided over the session. Gillani also approved funds for the following development schemes:
- PKR 550 million for a teachers training programme
- PKR 20 million for a third-party evaluation of literacy amendment
- PKR 1.2 billion for the Punjab Energy Efficiency & Conservation Programme
- PKR 1.53 billion for a Khidmat Markaz to provide civic facilities
Notable officials from various other departments and members of PDWP also attended the meeting. The total funds approved for the projects mentioned stand at PKR 6.52 billion.
