Faisalabad: The government has released PKR 290 million for the rehabilitation of rural roads in the Faisalabad district under a ‘Rural Accessibility Programme’ – a news source reported.
Each district under the Faisalabad division has been issued funds according to the rural population. So the funds issued for Chiniot (PKR 430 million) and Jhang (PKR 440 million) are higher than those issued for Faisalabad.
Some experts have expressed reservations at the issuance of less funds to Faisalabad; contending that the low funds will result in Faisalabad’s roads and other projects not being developed properly.
