Gujranwala: The Punjab Government has released a grant of PKR 220 million for the construction of a sports complex in Ghakhar Mandi, a news source reported. The project would be completed at a cost of PKR 350 million.
Habib-ur-Rehman Gilani, chairman of the provincial Planning and Development Department, inspected the site along with officials of the district administration.
The complex would be equipped with state-of-the-art facilities – including football, cricket and hockey grounds, a gymnasium as well as badminton and tennis courts.
The deputy director planning said construction work was underway on ground and door hall, adding that quality material was being used for the construction so that there would be no complaints of substandard material.
