Islamabad: The federal government has issued PKR 210 million for seven projects of Aviation Division, reported a news source. The issuance of funds has taken place so far during the first quarter of fiscal year 2018-19.
These projects include the expansion and upgradation of Bannu Airport, setting up Reverse Linkage project between Pakistan Meteorological Department and Marmara Research Centre, Turkey on Earthquake Seismological Research, installation of weather surveillance radar in Karachi, setting up of medium range weather forecasting centre, upgradation of weather forecast system, construction of single barrack at DG Khan Airport, construction of housing units for employees of Islamabad International Airport’s Security Force, and construction of Kasana Dam in Islamabad, which will collect rainwater and meet the water-related needs of Islamabad International Airport.
