District Nazim Sardar Saeed Ghulam said that the authorities concerned recently issued tenders for these projects. He added that the development work will begin in a few days.
He informed that the Education Department has received funds worth PKR 100 million. The Earthquake Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Authority will utilise these funds to rebuild schools damaged during the 2005 earthquake.
In a similar measure, the government has sanctioned release of funds worth PKR 60 million for constructing additional rooms in basic health units. Moreover, rehabilitation work will be carried out at a cost of PKR 40 billion.
