Islamabad: The Ministry of Planning, Development and Reform has issued PKR 2.69 billion for development projects undertaken by the National Highway Authority (NHA), according to a news source.

The federal government has allocated funds worth PKR 1.54 trillion for development and infrastructure projects planned by the NHA.
As per the information released by the Planning Commission, out of the released funds, the NHA will spend:
- PKR 900 million on the phase three construction of the Lahore Multan Motorway (M-3)
- PKR 200 million on the construction of the Jaglot-Skardu Road
- PKR 200 million on the development of N-5
- PKR 400 on the dualisation of the road connecting Kohat Road with Pindigheb
- PKR 200 million on the construction of the Faisalabad-Khanewal section of the Motorway (M-4)
Earlier this month, the NHA approved the development of 42 new road construction projects to upgrade and expand the highways infrastructure in the country. Of these, the authority requested funds for 31 projects and planned to complete the remaining two under a private-public partnership arrangement.
