Faisalabad: The Faisalabad Industrial Estate Development & Management Company (FIEDMC) has allocated funds worth PKR 2.5 billion for carrying out development work in the Allama Iqbal Industrial City (M-3), a news source reported. The decision was taken in a meeting presided over by FIEDMC Chairman Mian Kashif Ashfaq on Monday.

Faisalabad Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ali, Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI) President Rana Sikandar Azam, Pakistan Hosiery Manufacturers & Exporters Association Chairman Mian Naeem, and Sitara Chemical CEO Mian Idrees were all present at the occasion.

The attendees approved the construction of a link road between Sahianwala and Chinot Road. Further, they sanctioned the development of the Faisalabad Safe City project and setting up of two 40-megawatt grid stations at the M-3 project site.
Moreover, the participants discussed the progress on Allama Iqbal Industrial City’s development work. As per reports, the said project is being developed under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) initiative. The project will be inaugurated in December 2019.
