Islamabad: The Central Development Working Party (CDWP) on Tuesday approved a development scheme worth PKR 202.412 million and referred another project worth PKR 17 billion to the Executive Committee of National Economic Council (ECNEC) for approval, a news source reported.

A meeting to this effect took place in Islamabad, which was presided over by Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Reform Khusro Bakhtiar. Secretary Planning Zafar Hasan was also present at the occasion.
The project worth PKR 202.412 million is aimed at protecting infrastructure from flood waters in Sindh. The Ministry of Water Resources will develop this initiative, specifically, in the province’s Ghotki district.
The meeting also reviewed a Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Integrated Tourism Development project presented by the provincial government. Through this PKR 17 billion initiative, the tourism sector will be developed in the province.

The planning minister lauded the initiative taken by the KP government to promote integrated tourism in the province. He said that the promotion of tourism would contribute to GRP growth. He later referred the project to ECNEC for approval.
