Multan: The Punjab government has allocated earmarked worth PKR 1,374 million for constructing the Nadarabad Phatak flyover and carrying out rehabilitation work on the Suraj Kund Road, as well as another stretch which connects the Jail Morr and the Nawaz Sharif University, a news source reported.

For building the flyover project, the executive has allocated PKR 1,000 million, while the remaining PKR 374 million will be utilised for completing the road rehabilitation projects.
The Multan Development Authority (MDA) is the executing authority for these uplift schemes.

MDA Director Engineering Nazir Ahmad Chughtai recently said that the development work on these infrastructural pursuits would begin in October. He added that the authority had forwarded the PC-I for these prdojects to the provincial government for its approval.
Moreover, he stated that the MDA was making utmost efforts to address the traffic issues on major routes in the city. For this purpose, the civic agency wanted to complete the said projects on an immediate basis.
