Lahore: The newly appointed Director General (DG ) Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has approved PKR 108 million for the repair of roads in the provincial capital, a news source reported.
The Chief Minister (CM) Punjab had issued directions for the repair of these roads. LDA has prepared a plan in accordance with the instructions of the CM.
The funds have been allocated in the current fiscal year. Of the total, PKR 9.7 million has been allocated for Main Boulevard Samnabad; PKR 21.9 million will be spent on the repair and construction of roads in Allama Iqbal Town; and PKR 7.2 million be spent on the repair of roads in Johar Town.
Additionally, PKR 15.6 million has also been allocated for asphalt carpeting in Blocks B, C, D-1, and D-2 of Johar Town. PKR 9.6 million will be utilised for constructing double carriageway between Liaquat Chowk, Multan Road and Sabzazar Scheme.
