Rawalpindi: The Government of Punjab has announced funds worth PKR 10 billion for the Khadim-e-Aala Punjab Rural Road Program (KPRRP)’s Phase IV, according to a news source. The phase IV doesn’t include plans for the development of road networks in any urban areas.
Local government representatives from all the districts of the province have been instructed to share the respective road scheme plans by November 20. In this phase, rural roads having a width of 10 to 12 feet will be renovated and expanded. In addition, each road will be at least five kilometres long. Only 30% of the required funds will be allocated for the new road network.
The District Coordination Committees from all districts have been instructed to approve the proposed road network and share their priority list with the concerned department.
