Mansehra: PKR 1 billion budget has been approved by Mansehra tehsil council for the current fiscal year, a news source reported. The budget was presented by acting nazim Asif Tanoli. He was filling in for the former nazim Khurram Khan Swati, who resigned to take part in the general elections.
PKR 570 million of the budget has been earmarked for development, while the remaining is to be dedicated for non-developmental expenditures. Of the development funds, PKR 100 million will be fixed for the development of newly established Baffa-Pakhal tehsil.
PKR 62 million has also been dedicated for the construction of a commercial plaza at the Old Government Transport Service terminal – this will help the city increase its revenue. Tanoli stated that work on the plaza will begin soon.
