Rawalpindi: Government of Punjab has released development funds worth PKR 1.5 billion for the city, reported a news source. The amount will be spent on construction and rehabilitation of connecting roads, streets, and laying of sewerage lines as well as construction of janaza gah and boundary walls of schools.
Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has instructed 15 members of Punjab Assembly (MPA) to share details on developments schemes for their respective constituencies amounting to PKR 100 million in one week. These MPAs will only propose the schemes while work on the respective projects will be carried out under the supervision of city district government.
Work on the development schemes for Rawalpindi will start in December this year.
