Lahore: The local revenue department has collected PKR 1.52 billion as taxes on sale and purchase of property during the year 2017-18, a news source reported. These taxes include Stamp Duty, Registration fee, CVT, and corporation fee.
According to details, the collection of PKR 1.52 billion is more than the collection in any year before this. The next year’s target has been set at PKR 1.75 billion. The largest amount of taxes were collected from Nishtar Town, while on the second spot was Iqbal Town, and on the third spot, Wahga Town.
PKR 1.25 billion was collected under stamp duty, PKR 1.6 million was collected under the head of registration fee, PKR 8.5 million as corporation fee, and PKR 15.3 million as CVT.
