Islamabad: Punjab Information Technology Board’s (PITB) Chairman Faisal Yousaf chaired a progress review meeting about the generated revenue exceeding PKR 351 billion through the e-stamping system since its launch in May 2016. The news was disclosed in an article published on January 19.

As revealed in the details, the meeting, which included the presence of PITB Director General (DG) e-Governance Sajid Latif, highlighted that over 18.3 million e-stamp papers have been issued to date. Chairman PITB emphasised the positive impact of e-stamping, stating that the system has digitised the issuance of stamp papers, eliminating paper-based and fraudulent practices while enhancing transparency.

The e-stamping system, a flagship project of the Punjab government executed in collaboration with the Board of Revenue, is designed to automatically calculate the value of the required stamp paper for the buyer. The success of this system not only contributes to efficient revenue collection but also represents a significant step toward a more transparent and streamlined administrative process.
