Lahore: The Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB), and Punjab Police Collaborate on Safe City Projects has initiated advanced safe city projects in Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, and Gujranwala, as reported in a new article on February 23.

According to the details, these projects leverage artificial Intelligence for facial recognition, automated number plate recognition (ANPR), and tag and trace systems to combat crime effectively. The launch and progress of these initiatives were discussed in a meeting chaired by PITB Chairman Faisal Yousaf, with the presence of PITB Additional Director General Qasim Afzal, Chief Technology Officer Adil Iqbal Khan, and other key officials.

Chairman Faisal Yousaf commended the team for their efficient execution of the project within a remarkable timeframe, and he praised the PITB software engineering wing for developing an indigenous solution.
