Lahore: Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) to launch the first Job Centre in the Punjab Province, news sources reported on December 27.

The Job Centre, a collaborative effort of PITB, the Labor & Human Resource Department (L&HRD), and the Government of Punjab, will be deployed at divisional and district levels across Punjab. As per PITB sources, the initiative has already registered 20,000 workers and will connect employers, promoters, job exchange agencies, workers, and job seekers.

RCCI President Saqib Rafiq, Senior Vice President Muhammad Hamza Sarosh and Vice President Faisal Shahzad attended the signing ceremony and praised the PITB initiative. The Job Centre is expected to increase employment opportunities for people in Punjab and will help to reduce the unemployment rate in the province.
