Lahore: The Punjab Industrial Estates Development & Management Company (PIEDMC) has announced its decision to construct two grid stations in Vehari and Bhalwal Special Economic Zones (SEZs), a news source reported on September 18.

These 132kV setups, approved during a meeting of the PIEDMC Board of Directors, would be established at a cost of PKR 870 million. PIEDMC Chairman Syed Nabeel Hashmi, presided over the session which provided its approval to the purchase and installation of generators for both the SEZs.

Another order of business during the meeting included allocation of PKR 20 million for repair of road patches between Multan-Muzaffargarh (N-5) and the Multan Industrial Estate. The participants also sanctioned the funds for the preparation of a feasibility report on the Sahiwal Industrial Estate in Chichawatni.
Moreover, the board reconstituted PIEDMC’s Board of Management.
