Rawalpindi: Punjab Intermediate Cities Infrastructure Improvement Programme (PCIIP) has begun the preparation of terms of reference for the 25-year master plan of Rawalpindi – a news source reported on February 11.

The master plan will be prepared keeping in mind the needs of the citizens for the next 25 years. After the master plan has been prepared, it will be submitted to all the relevant departments who will plan accordingly. Rawalpindi Development Authority will also handle the planning for the rural areas within Rawalpindi’s jurisdiction.

RDA will also obtain guidelines from the people involved in the preparation of master plan in Islamabad. The plan will be prepared to ensure that water, electricity, gas, roads, streets, parking area, health, education, commercial area, residential area, public parks, playgrounds, and graveyard needs of the city are met for the next 25 years.
