Islamabad: The Pakistan International Airline (PIA) has recently reached a deal with the Amadeus Travel Platform for acquiring access to its global seller network, a news source reported. Under this new arrangement, the travel platform will become PIA’s long-term distribution partner.

Under the agreement, PIA will have access to the Amadeus-connected agencies – who will now enjoy the ability to book PIA’s full suite of domestic and international inventory. PIA spokesperson Abdullah J. Khan stated that the national flag carrier would have an international presence in newer markets as more travel agencies could book and sell the airline’s offers.

This accurate booking information will allow these agents to provide quality services to their clients. Meanwhile the global travellers will have more possibilities of connecting with major Pakistani cities.

Moreover, PIA CEO Arshad Malik stated that the Amadeus would allow the PIA to reach its expansion targets via better technology and distribution capabilities.
